Responsible Engineer for the Starship Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) Boost Converter embedded software. The firmware implemnts a real-time control algorithm to optimize power extraction from solar arrays during Starship's orbital operations. Using C/C++ on an NXP RT1170 microcontroller, the firmware interfaces with power electronics hardware, ADCs, and communication peripherals.
Served as the Systems Engineer for the Starship Human Landing System (HLS), handling avionics architecture planning and integration. Defined system-level requirements for HLS, including functional, performance, and fault-redundancy criteria. Designed the HLS avionics system including avionics box counts, harness pinouts, engineering drawings and component placement throughout the vehicle.

High Power Engineering Intern | Sept 2024 - Nov 2024
Created Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) dashboards for the Starbase Microgrid using Ignition by Inductive Automation. Developed HMI interfaces to monitor and manage power distribution, load balancing, and fault detection across the microgrid. Created a REST API to interface with historial load data for forecast modeling and analysis.

Developed an Ultrawide-Band (UWB) based localization platform for autonomous construction vehicles. Designed and implemented embedded software in C for real-time position estimation using UWB transceivers on ESP-32 microcontrollers. Achieved +- 3cm accuracy under 500m with my proof-of-concept implementation, submitting the work for a patent application. Further improved the platform to work as an implement tracking system to pinpoint relative locations of machine attachments with millimeter accuracy.
